Butler Park

Butler Park is located directly across from Averill Park High School on Gettles Road.

It is big park with a playground area, soccer fields, pavilion and hiking trails. It is used by the town for various events such as summer concerts, carnivals and fireworks on the 4^th of July. The playground area has a lot to offer: swings, slides, rope ladders, monkey bars. There is a large parking area near the pavilion and also room for a few cars along the road, right in front of the playground area. The drawback is that the playground area is very close to the road so little ones must be watched at all times. High school students use Butler Park as an overflow parking area and a place to hang out before and after school, so your best bet is a mid-day trip to the park.
