Frear Park East

Location: On North Lake Avenue, between Hoosick and Frear Park Road.

Equipment: Toddler and big kid swings, one mid-size slide and one tall slide. There are also 2 ride-on animals on springs and a merry-go-round. There is plenty of grass, a baseball field and basketball court.

It is a small playground but there it is usually empty. The playground is adjacent to the golf course. In the evening or in the early spring and late falls, it is a good place to take walks on the paved roads designed for the golf carts.

There is a parking lot.

There are no restrooms.

Frear Park West

Diections: Located on Frear Park Road. Drive North on 15th Avenue past Hoosick Street, until the circle. Take first right at circle and drive until stop sign. Go straight at stop sign the parking lot is on your left.

Equipment includes tToddler and big kid swings, 3 large slides, 2 merry-go-round, various climbing equipment for preschoolers, ½ dome, rock –climbing wall with firefighter pole, picnic tables, shade from the trees. Sprinklers in the summer, large (and popular) sledding slope in the winter.

The playground is only partly fenced. Besides the sprinklers, this playground is more appropriate for preschoolers who are not afraid of high slides and challenging climbing equipments. There is little to do for toddlers. The playground is adjacent to the golf course. In the evening or in the early spring and late fall, it is a good place to take walks on the paved roads designed for the golf carts
